The Season has begun.....

Yesterday was the first game of this season and boy did we start with a bang.

Kov's lost the toss and I went in to bat 2nd :-). Next week Kovs can play in my place, no prob.

Granted the first two batting pairs had a tough time out there and posted a total of only 28 runs. However Prin and Krem managed to bring it into the 50's with some big shots.

But I think the men of the match must go to Sugan and Kribs, who showed no respect to the bowlers and batted intelligently by complimenting thier big 6's with some fine strokes onto the side nets to bring the score up to 108! ( I think Sugan has been perfecting his "stroke"in his spare time:-)

Anyway after that we just killed those guys with great bowling and fielding from everyone. If there's one thing I thing we should work on is , is our throwing at the stumps. Every game we 'throw away' numerous chances of run outs by totally missing the stumps. We ALL do. I think Suren is right when he says, we should not stop throwing hard, but rather bounce the ball into the base of the stumps. In that way at least the guy behind the stumps has a chance of catching the ball aswell. But I'm the last to coach about fielding! just a thought.

I still dont have the stats, I wont blame anyone for that (PRIN, PRIN, PRIN) :-)

On another note, my fantasy football team is up to shit! None of my strikers scored. That a$$hole Ronaldo did phuck all for me. Check out the poll.

Maybe next week Someone can take photo's of some of the players during the game and I can post it here. Will be a nice memento when our knees give up and the curtain closes on our cricket careers. ( Either that or we get too fat to bend to pick the ball up)
